PRESS: iHerb contests app blocking in Russia’s Supreme Court
MOSCOW, Jun 29 (PRIME) -- U.S. supplements online seller iHerb has filed a complaint to Russia’s Supreme Court on blocking of its application in the country’s segment of Google Play and App Store, business daily Kommersant reported on Monday.
iHerb filed a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court against motions of lower courts that obliged the marketplace to delete its application in the local segment of Google Play and App Store, while the official website of iHerb still functions.
The supplements retailer was accused of selling products in Russia that do not comply with the local technical regulation.
The country brings iHerb 24% of traffic to the marketplace, as Russian Online Retail Association (AKIT) President Artyom Sokolov said earlier.
